Lazy Sunday afternoon with the pets.

Painting in progress

Another oil painting on stretched canvas. Not finished yet. But, you can see where it is going. Need more detail/texture in the meadow area. Took this photo outside Keister, MN last fall, 2011.

I started this oil painting this week. I already had the canvas stretched and painted the reddish brown color. It is a painting of my daughter Becky playing with a stick in some rather muddy water. She was probably in fifth grade or so when I took the photo.

Latest painting

This is the latest painting I have completed. It is acrylic on canvas paper. It is. Photo I took at Deadman.'s Lake at Pilot Knob State Park last autumn. I am starting a new one in oil. I have not used oil much so this is a new adventure for me. See how it goes. Let me know what you think.
